Potterton netaheat 16/22 - mk1!

I've noticed this old girl is slow to light the pilot flame on very cold days (Like today).
It's controls are basic so easy to follow. The fan starts, relay comes in, spark generator on and when the flame does light, everything is as it should be.

Any suggestions/hints why this is (Weak spark? - you can see the spark through the window).

1.spark lead loose/damaged
2.dirt at the end of the spark/pilot
