I have a Potterton Performa 24 ECO HE boiler approximately 11 years old.

Last two years developed a small leak that now has gone worse and I have identified it to be on the diverter valve as shown in the photo red circle.

Can I save some money by just buying the service kit rather than replacing the whole valve and what is likely to be the precise fault. I now also get lukewarm water, central heating is fine.

The valve is similar to a BAXI 105E, BAXI 80 ECO and some others.

Yes get a service kit, the thing you circled is just a hole , it is not that is leaking it is just coming out there as it is the easiest path, it is one of tw seals but both come with the service kit, Top tip though make sure you completely cover the electronics housing with cling film and towels before you attempt anything to do with the water side
