Potterton performa 24

Hi All

My Potterton Performa 24 is not performing!!

Both central heating and hot water are working, but both systems don`t seem to be getting as hot as they used to. Previously, the system would deliver a bath full of really hot water, now its just warm (ok for showers)

The boiler is less that 6 years old.

Any assistance advice on what the cause may be would be appreciated.

Can you gas rate the boiler with the tap running full tilt (time how long it takes the red needle on you gas meter to do a complete revolution.

If you have a metric meter take the reading at the start, run the taps for two minutes and take the reading afterwards.

While your at the meter check the main tap is fully on and has not been partially turned of

Hi Dan

Turned the boiler up to max on the hot water and approx 30% heating.

Opened bath tap fully - one complete revolution of red dial on gas meter took 40 seconds, tap water was just warm.

Well the boiler is burning more or less the right amount of gas (I will check more fully in a minute.

Therefore the heat is going somewhere - what is the flow rate at the tap (should be circa 9 l/min).

With the heating system cold, does the CH flow pipe warm up with water running?
