The moment u switch on the boiler heating come on ?

Even when the knob is turned to 'hot water' only indicator.

CH guy even disconnected the room thermostat but still the same problem.

Any advice/help is very much appreciated.

What was he doing there?

Sounds to me as if you need a proper boiler engineer to diagnose and repair the boiler.

He is Gas safe engineer !
If he could find the fault, I would not have asked the question.

Sorry you do not find my reply helpful.

But the reality is that, although he is assessed as being safe to work on gas, he obviously does not have the skills to diagnose what is wrong with your boiler.

So my reply is still the correct one that you need a competent boiler engineer with diagnostic skills.

I will assume that you were going to pay him and were not somehow expecting him to diagnose the fault for free. I always charge for diagnosing boiler faults!

Get yourself another boiler fixer...DHW switch probably iffy.

Most likely cause .
Microswitch on front of differential valve is activated either by being stuck or the pin that comes out on HW demand has stuck out making the boiler think there is a HW demand when there isnt so heat goes around the rad circuit .
Simple fix
