Have just replaced the diverter valve on our Performa 28 due to the heating coming on when hot water was used. Apart from a minor leak on the bypass pipe everything has gone back in OK (as far as I can tell) but the boiler won't fire. The pump starts (slightly nosily) and after a few seconds the 60 degree light flashes. The pin in the top of the new diverter valve is not coming up which I assume is the problem.

Any ideas what might be causing this in a new valve? I was thinking maybe an airlock but I ran out of time last night to have a proper look.

Many Thanks

Michael

It's important to bleed and repressurise the boiler/system completely. Spend a bit more time on that. Nothing will happen until that pin rises and proves the pump. I'm assuming all the valves that may have been turned off are now back on.
