potterton performa 28

i Have a fault on a potterton performa 28 when the hot water is running the central heating was getting warm,
I changed the diverter valve now when the central heating is turned on the temprature rises the 80 light comes on and the boiler switches of cools down then restarts back up and the same happens ,also switches on and off when hot water is being used.

Did you really change all of the diverter valve?

Your system is probably full of crap which buggered the diverter. Either the same happened again, or you didn't change the diverter properly.

Make sure that the pump is vented of air and that the auto air vent is open. Sounds like the heat cannot get away from the boiler due to poor circulation.

Often the original fault is caused by a blocked plate heat exchanger on a performer. The crap in the system blocking the H/Ex could also by causing the circulation problem.
