Potterton Prima 50F problem - Please Help

Can anyone tell me or show me in a diagram were the reset button is on this make as i can not see it anywere and how long do these boilers last before u must get a new one ?/ thank u

I think it's underneath case toward middle front but you may have to remove grey panel to acess. As for changing it, don't bother unless the heat exchanger is split.

i opened it and the only thing i can see is a black rubber that cases a red plastic button that has a cross over it and when i press it it does nothing looks like theres no spring in it oits limp , when i turn on boiler theres is a noise of something running and then u here a click but nothing happens ???

Then I has not overheated and the problem is not water related. You should get fan, the pressure switch activated followed by spark then ignition. The noise may be pump circulating. If not check boiler and pump are getting a demand from external controls.

we were away and the water went a few times the heating may have been on by one person in the house would this have caused the problem whjen no water
