Potterton Puma 80 HELP

Hi

Iam new to this forum but at my wits end.

I have a Puma 80 Combi Boiler which keeps cutting out. The fan is working and the water pressure is OK. If I remove the covers the boiler fires up and keeps working for CH and HW. But when I replace the covers and try it the boiler fires up and then cuts out completely after about 5 seconds.

Any ideas folks?

PS is it OK to use the boiler with the covers off??

Hi Pablow, boiler shouldn't be used with the covers off because positive pressure is needed in the case to vent any escaping CO. That way you'll
wake up in the morning if there's a problem

My Stelrad had a mind of its own, ignoring the controls & no one diagnosed it correctly but turned out to be the fan relay breaking down & only when it finally went fizz on Sunday was the mystery solved.
