Hi first post here and hoping I can save a call out from a plumber!

I've read all the FAQ's regarding high pressure and cant seem to lower the pressure from my Potterton Puma 80 Boiler

I only moved in 6 months ago and only recently the pressure guage has hit 3.8 and the outlet pipe is doing its job and excess water is dripping out but even when i try to release pressure by unscrewing the valve i was told to under the boiler nothing happens! I've bled the radiators which hasn't seemed to do anything so Im stuck with an outlet pipe dripping constantly

This is driving me mad and Im unsure on what to do as i cannot see any other valves to release this

Any help would be really really appreciated!

The filling loops probably been left open...the loop is supposed to be disconnected after use.

There's a grey topped valve under the boiler on the rhs of the diverter valve. Takes a small hose.
If it's blocked, use a dain cock on the pipework, wherever they've put it.

guru your right. but i cannot remember the last time i've seen one disconnected.
must have been 3 years ago & the reason it comes to mind is because the braided hose was missing.
a bet you carry WB filling tees in your tool box.

Thanks for your replys, im still confused how anything could of happened without it being touched and last night i was kept awake by the constant dripping from the outlet pipe

Looks like i will have to call a plumber out as no idea how to close anything as nothing is visable :(
