Boiler seems to work fine, CH ok, but DHW pressure pulses low and high causing water to get really hot then cold. Cold water supply comes from a tee on a pipe that supplies cold water tap in kitchen and this pressure is constant and fine. This fault occurs even when no cold water is drawn from any other outlet. Any ideas?

Does this pulsing still happen if the power to the boiler is turned off?

What is the frequency of the pulsing?

If it was slow then there is a flow restriction device which limits the flow rate to about 3 li/min until the hot water is warm and then opens to allow the full 9 li/min to pass.

I have never encountered a fault with this part before but as its based on a wax element that would be a slow response and perhaps 5-10 secs frequency.

thats the bit I was meaning tony however it might be overheating or something like that when the flow is very low of the thermistor cutting it off when its not ment to be??

I was wondering if the DHW sensor is o/c and the boiler runs until the CH sensor shuts it down ?
