Nothing obvious. Is there a sticker underneath or on top?

What amperage is the MCB ,or fuse that protects the shower circuit ?

Thanks for your help. All I know it is a Triton Opal Chrome, but unsure of the model or KW. It meant to be underneath but it isnt and on the inside, which clearly it isnt either. So bit stuck, as need to replace it because of a fault with it leaking from the stabiliser valve I think.

As has been said, it doesn't really matter what is the power rating of your present shower - as has been said, if you tell us the rating of the MCB supplying the shower (and, ideally, also the cable size if you knew it - but hopefully that will be consistent with the MCB rating) we can then tell you what power of replacement shower you would be able to install.

Kind Regards, John

You could measure the resistance of the shower and calculate the power rating.

If, as seems to be the case, it is the OP's wish/intention to replace the shower, rather than attempt to replace it then, as I've written the power of the current one is irrelevant.

As I've said, what matters is the cable and MCB rating and cable size - which will determine what power of replacement shower the OP can install- don't forget that he present one could possibly be 'too powerful' for its electricity supply!

Thanks for the info. Eventually, it worked out to be 10.5kw. As you can tell I am a complete novice, but could you confirm that this covers the shower?
thanks for your help.

The overcurrent protective device ( MCB) is 50 amp, and the RCCB to the right of it supplies it / protects against earth leakage. So in those respects it does " cover it".
The cable currently connected ,as in your pic, has somewhat damaged insulation and needs attention, can't make out the cable size . I would hope it's 10mm² ,is the earth conductor of that cable single solid copper ,or stranded copper ? Hopefully it is the latter
