I have fitted a pump as part of a shower installation but I have reduced pressure when the pump cuts in and sometimes the pump stops working for a short period then starts up automatical. I think I have a problem with hot water supply to the pump from the tank. Can anyone help.

Hard to unsderstand but it sounds like you might be sucking air via an incorrect connection on the hw side. Where's it connected?

I have a surrey flange on the top of the tank and the bottom 3/4 fitting is connected to the inlet of the pump ( HW) the other 3/4 outlet from the valve goes to the hot water taps in the bathroom and the kitchen. This side of the system is vented into the loft.
I have been told to fit a vent to the pipe coming from the surrey flange on the shower connection.???
