Thanks for the replies. The original question has been answered many times. Should I be buying the cable originally specified without the full information given, no, hence the original post. It doesn't look like I should go ahead and get the cable whilst my electrician is on holiday.
Therefore I am going to just dig the trench and go through things again when my spark comes back from holiday. So thanks for the advice.
