Powermax complete despair

Hi everyone

I finally got my alarm up and running thanks to help from this forum a while ago.

However I wanted to change the SIM card in the gsm module as it had ran out of credit, unfortunately I think I may have broken the panel now.

I removed the gsm module (long story, I know not necessary to change the SIM card) and then reattached it with the battery still connected. The voice on the panel is now very quiet and hard to hear and when you exit the installers menu the panel displays Press OK to exit. Pressing OK does nothing it's stays on this and I cannot get into any menus. I have removed all power reconnected access to menus available again but on exiting installers menu end up stuck on OK to exit again. I have reset to defaults, nothing helps.

Have I totally wrecked it, I have read, too late not to connect gsm module with any power attached, any advice would be welcome I've been working on this for two days now.

Possibly.

Not sure what to suggest or how far gone things are, does the gsm work?

I can only suggest complete power down, remove the gsm again and power the system back up without the gsm and see how it behaves.

Hi thanks for the reply. I have just powered down completely removed gsm module and then reconnected without gsm module. It behaves exactly the same.

I can access user settings and exit normally but once I have accessed the installer menu and then exited I am stuck at the <ok> exit screen.

Really don't understand this.

I'will see if I can find anything out on what can be done but probably nothing other than replace unit.
