Im looking at purchasing some skirting and architrave. I have priced up what i need in pre primed MDF. The priming is an optional extra.

Without the priming its £35 cheaper (7 x 3m of skirting and 2 architrave door kits with plinth blocks).

Is it worth the extra £35. I know a lot of time could be saved instead of priming myself but is the quality any good. Or will spending time priming, sanding, undercoating, sanding etc etc give a better finish than the manufactured pre primed option.

Thanks

Where you getting prices? Selco sell skirting [95mm] 21 metres [5 X 4.2m] at around £35 plus vat.

It was only a quick quote on my mobile whilst at work. I have now found cheaper but was just wondering what the quality of pre primed is like and is it worth it. Thanks
