I'll soon be getting someone to re-plaster my living room, using dot n dab plasterboard, with thermal plasterboard on the exterior walls.
Ive removed all the existing 1930's plaster that was falling off in places. Under the bay window it was plaster boarded against timber struts. Would a plasterer want me to remove these timber struts to start afresh, or leave them in place?
Also, above the bay window is a void behind the existing plasterboard. Would I be best to fill this with some type of insulation whilst its accessible?
