Hi,
I’ve stripped a wall of wallpaper ready to paint. The wall is in great condition part from a few digs which I will fill. I’ve cleaned the wall with super soap to get rid of excess paste several times. I’m just wondering what to do next? Do I need to under coat or prime the wall before I use any emulsion.

If you are confident you have removed the wallpaper paste, then if you have bare plaster you have to give it a mist coat, if you have paint just mist coat the filled areas and then paint as normal.

If you are not confident you have removed all the paste, then one coat of Zinsser Gardz (it can seal paste) and paint as normal.
