Hi

I need some advice to help me prepare the walls in my kitchen before I get a plaster for a quote. I’ve ripped all the tiles off and it has a couple of patchy marks, overall its left the plaster in one piece apart from a few spots where it’s been ripped out down to the brick. Is it best for me to fill these in? Do I need to smooth down/pick off all of the flaky stuff that I assume is the old skim? Do I need to remove all of this old skim as most of it is rock solid?

I don’t know what I should be asking him to do; I’m assuming all I need is a skim on top of the existing plaster. Ive posted some pics if it helps.

What sort of price will it be? My kitchen size is quite small …3.5m long ..2.3m wide. A door each end. A window along the side and also only from waist upwards as my units are still in situ.

Thanks

Your plasterer will deal with all the prep!

A days work 200 250- would cover it.
