My dad made a very robust but softwood garden bench about ten years ago I am trying to restore this and keep it going as long as possible.
I have stripped and repainted it several times but now I have had to dismantle it and replace some parts.
What is the best product to use to protect it as it is outside all year.

Cheers
Andy

Cuprinol do a wide range...I do my garden furniture at the end of every summer which no one is going to want to sit on it.

Go for something that penetrates the surface as opposed to just sitting on it.

Is cuprinol suitable for a garden bench, if my wife sits on it and get's stripes all over her white dress I will not be popular.

Cheers
Andy

When you read the above post, what colour stripes did you see on the dress, were they green by any chance. I was about to reply thinking that the post had mentioned green until I read it through again.

Did anyone else think this or am I just plain crazy
