Hi all,
Apart from the obvious, a leak, which I have not found yet, can anyone throw any light on my current problem, a slow loss of pressure on my combi boiler. I know how to re-pressurise the system, but it's going to be a right pain in the rear if I have got to do this every couple of months.
It is a Glow Worm 30CX, and I only had it installed in October'11. and whilst I appreciate the boiler is still under warrannty, the problem is knowing if it's the existing pipework, or the boiler. The guy who installed it has not been much help, he's done what I asked, now it's on to the next customer.

Thanks in anticipation for any replies.

It will be a leak somewhere. The small ones are hard to find since the leakage evaporates.
How much pressure is lost, and how long does it take to lose pressure?

Check all radiators, valves and compression joints you can find for tell-tale signs (greenish 'scale'). Check under floor if you have access.

If is was converted from an open vented system, a new pressurised system is notorious for uncovering leaks.

A system should be pressure checked every week and topped up as necessary. Thats usually every 2-6 months depending on the condition of the system. Its not unusual to need to top up every two months and I cannot see how a one minute job can be a "right pain".

To see if it were in the boiler, which is unlikely, then turn off heating overnight and close the two system isolating valves under the boiler and see where the pressure is a few hours later.
