PRESSURE RELEIF

thanks but don't beat about the bush just give it to me straight next time, i can handle it

well my nearest outside wall is about 6 metres away and i would need about 3, 90 degree bends would this be acceptable

It would be advisable to increase discharge pipe to 22mm copper if the run is long, to minimise resistance to flow. Discharge must be visible (hence "no" to soil stack) and safe (could be scalding steam/boiling water - not over doorways, etc. Direct discharge outlet towards wall.

cheers chris i haven't had my combi installed yet but my old boiler is on an internal wall and got about 6 months left to live, so i thought i could just have it installed where the old one is, do you think it would be wiser to move it to an outside wall which is possible.

suggestion:

do what we did, had it put in "airing cupboard" which has external wall also no more cylinder so more space aquired

What about the flue? Does the existing combi have a vertical flue, and is it open flued or room sealed (fanned flue)?
