Pressure too high

After bleeding my radiators, I inadvertently over-filled the pressurised system so that the gauge is now at 2 bar instead of 1 bar.

This may sound a daft question, but what should I do to reduce the pressure? I have tried bleeding off some of the water from the radiators but the gauge hasn't moved very much.

What happens if I run the system with the pressure at 2 bar? (I have turned it off for the time being... Help!)

Thanks,

V
