Pressurising CH System

wait till its cold and look at the pressure then , see if above 1 bar
the old photos - was that hot or cold

i notice the other post - no leak found...... and the pressure is 1.2bar ish

mine used to vary a lot on the boiler - from something like 1.1 to 1.8 ish i think - it was a brand new combi bolier installed around 2017 - we also moved out the same year

i just check mine every now and again as the loop is in the loft (although is in the boiler in the utility room), boiler changed in 2007- and make sure its above 1bar

it would drop in pressure every 3months - we tried a lot of things to fix, in the end our plumber adding some fenox leak stuff
Eventually we did find a possible source where air was getting in on an elbow in the loft , when we had a kitchen refitted they had to move the pipework and found it - no sign of a leak, but it was not soldered correctly and just pulled apart

when the pressure vessel broke on mine the pressure did go up to 3bar and overflowed through the relief valve

ok, if its above 1bar and in the green on the boiler - probably not worth mucking around with - other more experienced members will advise here , remember i'm just a diyer with home experiance and not loads of commercial experiance, seeing this day in dayout

But as soon as i bleed out a radiator - which we had to do a lot - before the joint was fixed - it dropped to zero or just above very quickly

I Just remembered , in the loft now, i only have 1 isolation valve as the other is a NON-Return valve on the loop , and discussed with my plumber when we had all sorts of issues when first moved in (was my mother-in-laws property , and my brother-in-law had been sortign things out when she had to go into a home)
