Pressurising CH System

After getting a new boiler in 2 years ago the only difference that I can see to the system is the flexi hose with 2 shut off valves shown in the image below. If this new addition is for adjusting pressure, a) how would I know that the pressure needed to be adjusted and b) how would I go about it?
Oops, have only noticed that dial in the background now! Has it got anything to do with pressure?

yes the dial at the back would tell you the pressure - i suspect it is the pressure - BUT not certain

whats the make model of boiler - sum also have a pressure gauge on
its a pressure - loop
2 valves
1 side connects to the water supply and the other the CH

then you adjust to the correct pressure -
looks like 1bar - is that ch cold or running warm

cant see how the loop is connected up

i'll try and dig a video out from you tube - explains it better in a video

dont try aything - other members may have better answers
I'm just a DIYer , had 4 houses with pressure system and had 1 converted from open to a pressurised one

the user manual shows a guage included in the panel -

wait for an expert who knows that boiler to provide an answer

I'm sorry for the confusion. On another of my threads, (Drip, drip, drip), it was suggested that I may have to adjust the pressure of my heating system. And not wishing to hijack my own thread, I raised this new thread asking a) how would I know that the pressure needed to be adjusted and b) how would I go about it? I added the images to clarify what I was dealing with.

If pressure gauge on your boiler shows less than 1 bar ,top up by opening the two black levers levered valves on the filling loop In your picture. Close both when done.

Thank you for that. My last question (hopefully), in this thread is this: assuming that when I open the valves the black hand on the gauge will move towards the red hand, is the latter set at the maximum pressure limit?

You can move the red needle where you want. I think the safety valve on the system opens at 3 bar so it would be good to set it at that so that you know when you are getting near to it. I think you top it up when the system is cold too as the pressure naturally rises a bit as the system water gets hot and expands.

you also have an image of a pressure meter on the boiler itself - which shows an area of green and the indication is above 1 bar, and may not need touching

is the drip repaired ??????

as mentioned in previous posts

looks like 1bar - is that ch cold or running warm

so may not need much - or any at all - as its in the Green on the boiler
if over pressurised , then you will need to bleed a valve in a radiator and let the water out and pressure back down

it moves quickly - so DONT just open both valves fully - making sure you know which valves - more photos may help - of valves on the flexible loop

I did nothing to repair the drip but it has stopped and the tissue I put round is dry.

mmm , you didnt tighten or turn anything - i have not read your other thread - but sure you have good advice there
