Hi Oracles

Over the last few weeks i have replaced my balcony in the garden from some home made arrangement that preceeded my ownership to a lovely turned wood one.

The wood is from my local woodyard, has been pretreated but, should i still coat this in another form or preservative or not?

I made the mistake of listening to someone many years back (before forums!) and didnt treat my new decking for the first 4 years or so and always wished i did after the first time and forum advice. It would likely have been in a better state then it is now and i dont wish to make the same mistake again, if there is one!

Thank you

Natalie

If your timber has been pressure treated then the solution used should have completely penetrated the timber - but its a good move to treat again, especially on any cut ends.
