Hi there,

I'm having my Central Heating redone. I have asked the plumber to ensure the pipes (15mm) are recessed.

He is planning to wrap the pipes with 'desso' tape to give room for expansion before applying plastering.

Will this work? Is there a better way to do this job?

The plumbers may no better but I have done some plumbing in my time, I said plumbing :!:
I sleeve them with plastic pipe/conduit, to stop the expansion cracking the plaster.
Did you mean denso tape, this is an anti-corrosive application :?
