I hope someone can help me with this. The dishwasher started tripping the fuse board out, i investigated it and found that if i plug the dishwasher in and turn it on with the connector left on the heating element it tripped out, but if i remove it from the element it stays on. i've done an ohms test and it gives me 26.1, about the same as the new heater ive just bought. Any ideas anyone. Cheers Dave.

Ohms test won't tell you if there's an earth fault on it. You need to carry out an insulation test on the heater.
