Primer for upvc door

Hello ,

Whats the best primer to use on a upvc door so that I can paint it? Thanks

Zinsser BIN. Sticks to anything. (Rub down a bit first though)

It is extremely difficult to apply flat coats of Zinsser BIN. It dries wayyyy too quickly.

You can purchase 2K paints with self etching properties but Zinsser Bulls Eye® 1-2-3 might be better as a primer (I haven't used it though)

Skip the primer and use Zinsser Allcoat water based satin or gloss, self priming and sticks to everything, it's great on plastics.

I have never used it. How long does it take to pass the fingernail scratch test?

A few years ago my GF went menopausal, kicked me out for 3 months and coated everything in waterbased Dulux trade eggshell.

3 years later I can still scratch the eggshell off with my finger nails.

Dry in an hour, full cure in a week, which is par for the course with acrylics. Once cured it's rock solid.
