I have just completed 4 months training on stained & leadlight windows and most of the work is done on tracing paper, I'm not very good at drawing free hand to make patterns. I'm wondering can it be done via pc software to print onto the tracing paper, the next problem would be, I think I would need a wider printer as A4 not really big enough(?) or maybe print it on A4 then get it blown up to right size?

To give you some idea, the straight line are easy, it's the rest I may struggle with

To print on tracing paper you may have to feed the tracing paper through along with a sheet of normal printer paper as a backing.

To hand feed paper you would be better with a front loading printer such as this A3 size printer:
HP Deskjet A3 printer for £157:

Several other A3 printers here:

Youu must also learn to space the glass and get it square,

Nothing worse than when the pattern runs out

Stay with the 'artisitic' approach Mas' ... CAd style / engineered symmetry can be ruinous to free artistic expression, make it differently make it interesting ! ;)
