A friend of mine wants to submit a 6 metre rear extension under the neighbour consultation scheme.

Now he has two properties together internal doorway to both house garden party wall has been removed so one yard. On one property there is a kitchen extension.

So the question is do the planners take 50% of the area into consideration from one property or both

Then it's 50% of the original curtilage of the house he is extending on.
