Back on topic, Im not quite convinced tightening up a dust cap is a solution, or even a mitigation, to a slow puncture.

And the swap test is likely to prove it.

Have repumped, and loosley put the cap back on. Hoping that the cap was just too small, and allowing a tiny bit of air to be released.

Does this sound likely? I will probably find out when I get out of work to go home

I think you'll find that the cap won't be there any more when you get home
