More of a question relating to style rather than the electrical workings but hopefully someone who knows the market might be able to help!

Recently bought a house that has some Trilux SNC 905 LED down lights installed in the bedroom that appear to have a very narrow 'field of view' - i.e. you can't really see the LED itself when looking at them from an angle, it's set way back in the reflector. They also cast a little reflective ring on the edge of the glass which looks really smart. Basically we really like them and would like to get more for the rest of the house but have been quoted by Rexel £111 per light and £60 per driver. I know I'm a cash buyer but that's ridiculous when you can get decent enough LAP from Screwfix for next to nothing!

So I guess the question is: Is there a particular style that I need to search for this kind of thing? Is it just narrow beam LED? Philips do a range called Ledinaire which appears from the photos to be similar as does the beam pattern but would be good for some other ideas of where to search too if possible. Have included a photo of the ones we have and like which may or may not show anything useful!

Thanks in advance.

The ones installed are sealed units sonic one blows, the whole unit needs replacing.

Only thing I can advise is to buy a number of bulbs and try them.

Both Toolstation and Screwfix do them pretty cheap in various brands and choose your favourite

That fitting although will work ok flat, is designed to highlight a feature and therefore swivels down, to direct the light onto the subject, without any side glare.
Hence the narrow beam, narrow beam tends to be only available in sealed units, Gu10 are mainly a wider beam.
Try looking at "GIMBAL" style fittings, they come in both sealed and Gu10, but bare in mind with the Gu10 you may have to put up with a wider beam, though used flat that may be an advantage.

Thanks for the input folks, I managed to find both Philips and Luceco units which have the same effect that I was looking for at significantly lower price!

I did say decent enough TTC, but take your point!
