Hi all.
Is there a way to roll a skip into my garden as we cannot have a skip out the front.
I live in a Victorian town with service alleys at the back that a skip cannot be put in.
Is there any way a skip can roll or be put on wheels?

Any alternatives please all
Thanks

Check out the hire firms for motorised barrows - they can be slim enough to go through a doorway and are the easiest way to get to a skip or tipper truck parked somewhere conveniently. You'd never shift a skip on rollers, I'm afraid!
John :)

Small skips can be dragged I suppose with a couple of guys, its just moving them when they're full, thats the problem.

If you really must have it in your garden, you could get it delivered by a truck mounted crane and swung from the back of the lorry, into your garden. Of course it's going to cost more but it is do-able.

lay some scaffold boards along the line you need and use 8 ft tube to roll the skip into place. Leave them under and wedge the skip in place. Fill and when ready reverse the procedure.
You will need about 6 8ft tubes.

Hi ALl
Spoke to a few companies this morning and it turns out the council dont let them drive on the service roads as the trucks are to heavy.
Looks like i will be paying for clearance instead.
At least this way i dont get my hands dirty :)
