Hi all, painted the garage door this morning. Looked at it an hour or so ago (about 4 hours after painting), and a fly had decided to land on it. Silly me tried to wipe said fly off the door, with a cloth soaked in white spirit. However, it has now ruined the finish in that particular area, as it had not completely dried yet. It's all rough and bobbly now!! How should I correct this? Let it dry poperly, and then sand that particular patch down, and then repaint? Thanks for any advice given.

If you ever get flies etc on wet paint, leave them until the paint is dry and use a damp cloth to wipe them off, this will not affect the finished surface.
