Problem With A Shower Mixer Tap

We have an almost identical one of these over our bath altho I have no idea who its made by or how old it is but I guess its around 3-4yrs old.

The problem seems to be the lack of hot water, its all over the place going warm(ish) then cold (never very hot tho) but if I hold the rear of the tap body itself it gets quite hot, should point out there's no problem anywhere else in the house with the supply of hot water and its run off a combi boiler.
Does anyone know if it can be fixed or is it just worth binning it in favour of a new one as you can see there only £58 in the link above but I thought if its just something simple I could have a go myself.

Just fit a new mixer. Job done.

Yes, fit a new one, but not the piece of Chinese made, unbranded $hite in your link. Get something half decent. It will cost a few more pounds, but in the long term will save aggro and money. Cheap taps are false economy.
