When the boiler is working properly, it will swith its self off and then re ignite when it cools down.
Sometimes however when it reignites it sparks for a while and the pilot ignites but the main burner does not cut in. It sometimes does this from cold as well.....when I came downstairs this morning the pilot was lit but the water and rads were cold. Simply sitching it off then switching it on again seems to cure the problem at the moment.
Could this be a faulty boiler control themostat or does the fact that the boiler either lights properly or the pilot comes on mean there could be another faulty part.
Any advice would be appreciated.
