Problem with halogen kitchen light fitting

I have a kitchen light fitting with 4 x GU10 240v 50W bulbs in which has stopped working.

I took the fitting out and there does not appear to be any fuse in it. Is this correct?? My other halogen light fittings in the lounge have car style fuses in the side for easy replacement.

Should the fitting have a fuse, if not what other problem could there be? (I have tried new bulbs as well!!)

Yep, you are right, the switch was broken. I have never had a light switch fail on me before, I should have checked that first!!
