Problem with heating / boiler

Can anyone advise how to clear an air lock in our CH system? We have vented the radiators, is there anything else we can try? Thanks!

You need to tell us what type of system you have and boiler etc.

We were told we had sludge in system so put some Fernox chemical cleaner in the header tank, after draining system down. Since then, the boiler keeps cutting out - prob because of air lock?

I think this one has a vent on the top of the heat exchanger with a silicone hose attached to it.

It has to be bled.

Thanks. Excuse my ignorance - do you mean bleed the boiler?

Take the case off. Locate the hose / tube - top left hand side. Unscrew until water dribbles into your armpit. Tighten up. Job done.
