problem with heating

Hi everybody -

Having problems with cold rads downstairs - so after much messing around bleeding and turning rads off and on , i took of the pump cleaned it up and put it back on.

But now it not working -- It does come on and start to heat up but after 30 seconds and a little gurgle it trips out- It sound like the an airlock in the system but I have no idea what to do. The system has been on now for a few hours and but the burner keeps going out.

The system is a "Potterton" "System" Type C12 - C32 -

Did you vent the pump once replaced? The pump is knackered and needs replacing.

undo the screw while it's running until water dribbles out.

Hi ,

Yes I have undone the silver screw on the front of the pump - some water does come out but still the same problem .

Plumber coming on Monday -- Thank you for your suggestions
