Problem with kitchen radiator

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out, my kitchen radiator only works if the radiator in the bedroom above is switched off. Problem is our little boy is now in the bedroom above so the radiator needs to be turned on. The top of it stays lute warm but when the bedroom radiator is off it works fine?? Any ideas??

Your radiators need to be balanced.

Thanks for the advice, i've never done any DIY for radiators so is it a simple job to balance radiators or do i need toget some one??
