Ever since our Crosswater shower was installed a few months ago, we've noticed that once the thermostatic valve is turned about a third of the way, the water is already boiling hot. The problem is that turning the valve back does not reduce the temperature and it remains boiling hot!(which as you can imagine makes showers a dicey experience). Any idea what the cause could be?
Thanks.

check the instructions and make sure the hot and cold are the right way round.

Thanks for the replies.

SOmeone had suggested it was due to the mixer cartridge being faulty and that I should contact Crosswater to replace it. Is that also a valid possibility?

could be the cartridge but its best to double check that the installation is correct, did you install it yourself ?
