You don't need juice, you need electricity 
Have you replaced the lamp (bulb), as well as the fitting? Try taking a lamp (bulb) from one of the other fittings that you know works to prove that it is definately not the existing lamp at fault.

i was waiting fro soemoen to coem with the "you dont needjuice you need electricity.
i didnt have time to do that this evening i.e. takin a lamp from one that works and trying it with the new fitting but will do so tomorrow or weekend
