Hi guys

All of a sudden my thermostat is showing the symbol that is in the pic below:

n665470265_1965256_2558.jpg

Now, despite having it set at 20 degrees, it wont heat up past 14 degrees ,which is the highest temp that the symbol shows up on!

Does that make sense?

I'm probably being really thick but i hope someone can help me.

Thanks.

whats that in english.

you have it set a 20 but it won't heat past 14.

i can see it now at 15 and the stat is calling.

what does the symbol mean though?
why has it suddenly appeared for the first time in 3 years?!
how do i get rid of it?

that symbol next to the numbers is a flame the stat is calling for the boiler to fire up for heat

no just means if for example your room stat is set at 20 and your room temp drops below that the boiler will fire up to give you heating until it reaches temp then the boiler will switch off.
