We are having problems with our Bristan Quadrant Twinline (ceiling fed) shower and our boiler.
We get hot water for about 2 minutes then freezing cold for 20-30 secs before the cycle starts again or we try running hot water in the sink for a few minutes then turning it off whilst leaving the shower on in an attempt to get hot water from the shower.
Our plumber tells us that the problem lies with our Baxi Instant 105e combi boiler. Pressure valves have been fitted to the shower feed between the boiler and the shower to balance the cold/hot water pressure.
We have a Service contract with a UK company (guess who ). Their engineers (and we have seen many over the last 12 months ) say that the fault is with the shower and that combi boilers aren't really compatable with this type of shower in areas with limescale problems.
We have had various problems with this boiler and have had various parts replaced inlcuding the heat exchanger plates, pressure vessels and assorted valves, switches and sensors.
However, we have a shower head/mixer tap affair fitted to the bath and this 'shower' provides plenty of consistent hot water.
So we are confused and not a little put out.
Grateful for any advice.
Kind Regards,
