My expansion tank for the central heating is full of water and the supply is "live" however no water will enter the Heating System! Having completed some maintenance of the central heating I had to fill the system through the drain cock.

The system is running fine but if it requires more water it can not top itself up! Anyone got any ideas on what the problem could be??

Bocked feed pipe. Very common. Search the forum. Often can be cleared by putting mains into the vent pipe - the crud comes up into he f/e tank. Be careful though, it could be a hard blockage in which cas your mains pressure may be too much for the pipes or boiler
