Product not performing as required - Bricklights

Read the product spec more carefully.
"Each fitting comes with angled cable glands and fast-fix terminal block, allowing for quick installation.".

This is not correct - as per post #13 I bought one last week.
There is no connecting 'fast fix terminal block' and no glands for use. There is a prewired length of cable, and zero room behind fiting to add any joint box.

A pity as light is nice looking ..... but it is made with a support casing taking up all of the 100mm depth of the brick opening. As it's an LED module, they have plenty of space to make case shorter or fit wirning block, but not the case.
I contacted the support desk of the company selling them ('National Ligthting') they advised they do not have any variants that allow wiring in of of 'own' cables and do not support pass-thru wiring.
They do understand the issues and I am not the first to have the problem.

So the back of yours doesn't look like this?

Oh well - at least you won't have to pay return postage costs.

No .... there is only one gland and pre-fitted cable, (gland is a fixed non-adjustable item) I asked if they could supply with 2nd gland to allow pass -thru .... no such option. Assuming from your picture, maybe that was the intent .... but not what they have produced.

Just looked at SHINE light at Simply LED .... this maybe an option ..... I'll buy one to try out, looks as in room to wire ... though fixing not as easy as Sienna (push fit) this would need to fit some form of packers so unit could be screwed to them

The fact the the Sienna light can have the colour temperature selected, and you can get replacement LED elements, make it, IMO, a product really worth persevering with.

Have you checked with other vendors to see if their ones have the same problem?

I have a dual skin wall ..... solid block to rear with no access,

If those blocks are lightweight concrete, they're soft enough to make scooping out a small recess feasible.

However, there is no connection box, it has a fixed cord ... and with light in place there is less than 1/4" behind the light so no way to install a connection box.

With a recess, might there be room if you joined the cables using butt-crimps with integral adhesive lined heat-shrink?

Stagger them, and put another length of H/S over the whole lot.

With the Sienna there is zero room.
The rear block wall is dense concrete, and I wouldn’t want to weaken it.

Looking at another option now … the SHINE light .. would not have corrosion issue.
Ordered one to try out.
