Programmer diagnostics - Indesit WD 14

I am having trouble in that the programme dial turns continuously. I have tried the obvious - resetting and looking at the filter outlet. But still prevails. The flashes are in a series of 8 - I understand these codes point to a certain fault. Can anyone advise please.

F8 is a heater fault. Most likely the relay on the module. Check the heater, wiring and the module.

Many thanks for the advice tiredengineer I gave the washer a couple of thumps, must have unstuck a relay contact somewhere? Seems to work ok now.
