Hi guys,

I live in a leasehold flat on the first floor of a three high block and want to put a stove in the lounge.

Q1 Do they make flues with 90 degree bends to go through the wall to fresh air.

Q2 Would I need Landlord/Planning Permissions for the protruding flue. :D

1) Yes, but depending on type and length of flue it may need to be enclosed for efficiency, safety etc.

2) Are you seriously asking if you need the landlord's permission to knock holes in the exterior -walls ? It's a bit more drastic/permanent than putting up wallpaper, isn't it ?

Unsure if you need PP , but you need a HETAS-qualified installer to put it in, so there is a focus for your questions.
