I've had my kitchen window replaced with French doors in a 1907 mid terrace house. The builder has used Fibolite blocks to fill at the side. The house needs plastering throughout so he didn't plaster inside. He also didn't render outside (on my request). I plan in the summer to remove the concrete render outside and replace with a breathable render. If he used cement render like he wanted to then come the summer I think the blocks would be damaged beyond repair by the removal of the render. Am I right?
Anyway the blocks are now exposed to the elements. When sub zero temperatures arrive I believe these blocks are in danger of becoming damaged. Is this right? Is there anything I can put over the blocks to protect it from frost and ice?
Thanks in advance!
