So for those reasons, I don't support the pro palestinian protests.

I enjoy good quality food, I think the country's food security is important, I have family who are sheep and beef farmers, they work hard for their money. Now they're not directly affected as they lease the land rather than own it but for those that do own the land, it will stop the farms being passed down through generations and lead to the breakup of farms or the forced sale to big business.

So for those reasons, I do support the farmers protests.

I seem to recall there were lots of comments about "just stop oil" and other climate protestors holding up ordinary people from going about their business.

I notice that none of those complaining and highlighting all the delays have mentioned anything about all the farmers holding up huge volumes of trafic around the country

Yes, but farmers are useful, productive members of society - vital to our economy and very survival. The professional greivance mongers, student dropouts, bored housewives and dog on a string crusties are the exact opposite. They're just useless tozzers who jumped on a bandwagon and actually want to disrupt modern society.

The farmers will be back home tomorrow growing the food you need to put on your family table. What useful function will the Stop Oil idiots serve when they've clocked off from a hard day of anarchy?

I do have a problem though comparing the number, extent and destructive effect of the different groups' antics.
